What's in the Box Most Recent Customer ReviewsDate : 2010-03-08![]() Summary : Printer Great. CD was cracked :( overall the printer was and is great to use. The Printer Ink is great too for its so much cheaper to buy then the other HP printers Ive had. Sad though, this Printer came with a cracked CD in the box. and I don't know how to get another CD. The printer is great but I had to go to the HP website and download it from their. Date : 2010-03-05 ![]() Summary : Best Avoided I've used a variety of printers over a great many years, and I have to say that this is, hands-down, the least joyful experience I've ever had with them. I know printers aren't something you're really supposed to "enjoy" - maybe I'm just weird like that - but I'm certain they aren't supposed to make you want to tear your hair out in frustration. This model - if you have Mac OSX, as I do, anyway - is a pain to set up and use. When I go to print something, I know it won't take a few minutes, but that I will instead have to set aside a good half an hour to handle the inevitable issues that are going to pop up. The installed software is beyond useless (and customer service is the worst I've ever encountered, honestly). And worst? The ink does not last. The unit doesn't want to recognize new cartridges (and yes, I do know what I'm doing; it's not that), and when it does, well, I have to wonder that maybe, in its infinite wisdom, it was trying to tell me something? "You seem a nice enough guy, how about I just don't recognize the cartridge, so that you'll give up and buy a new printer? Because otherwise you're going to be throwing a ton of money away on ink for me, and I like you too much to see you go through all that.... It's just not worth it." Seems my little suicidal intelligent printer is right: it's just not worth it. I have used other printers THAT JUST WORKED. I don't see why this one can't operate in the same way. But, trust me, it doesn't. Date : 2010-02-28 ![]() Summary : Noisey and Paper jams frequently This printer is very noisey when scanning and printing. I don't print much but half the time I do the paper gets jammed. The software is not so good. Everytime I do a scan it goes back to the default settings and I have to make changes to the save location and uncheck a box so it does not create a sub folder. Also when you save a scanned document it puts a number at the end of the name so I have to go in and rename each scan. I would suggest getting a different printer. Date : 2010-02-24 ![]() Summary : HP Makes Really Good Printers - I Wish Mine Would Break So I Could Buy A Newer Model I have an old HP DeskJet 932C and it has lasted for years. I don't like inkjet printers because I'm a klutz and always get ink everywhere, but, since my son installs it for me, I'm good. I've had absolutely no problems with mine other than I wish it would break so I could get a newer model. When I do get one, it will be another HP. Date : 2010-02-23 ![]() Summary : HP Desk Jet F4480 Overall I really like the printer. Multifunctions are great. It was an outstanding value for the price paid. It works and performs as advertised. The printer has a tendency to jamb when printing side two of an orginal sheet in more than three pages. Start of the first copy is slower than expected before copying begins. That is not a disadvantage for me because I do not have a need for frequent copying. The copier produces brillant color copies. I would not hesitate recommending this product to others. ![]() ![]() |
