$19.99 - Tiny Bluetooth USB Adapter Dongle (Black)
Product Description100% Brand new - the super micro Bluetooth dongle features a ultra small shell, which size(9x10.6x5mm) almost the same as a coin, making itself truly portable. Incorporated a Broadcom 2045 Chipset, with Bluetooth V2.0 specification compliance, it provides stable and fast wireless data sharing solution, supports Vista, Skype and EDR, with Legal Address Code and Legal Widcom Software. Delivery raw bandwidth of 3 Megabits per second for wireless applications. Support Bluetooth Personal Area Network (PAN). Work with Bluetooth Compliant devices including Bluetooth Headphone, Notebook, PDA, handheld PC, Digital Camera, Printer, and mobile phone.
This bluetooth dongle comes with a full version of BlueSoleil software and drivers. However, the software is not licensed to every type and model of hardware that is capable of using Bluetooth. If the software detects hardware that does not match the license keys it expects, then the software will impose a 5MB data transfer limitation. To overcome that limitation, users must purchase a different version of BlueSoleil software separately. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Most Recent Customer ReviewsDate : 2010-03-09 Summary : Bluetooth adapter for blackberry connections This product works fine. It has reasonable range, but for syncing a phone you have to be near the computer anyway to accept changes so range isn't a problem. Something for blackberry users to keep in mind: Blackberry Desktop Manager only works via bluetooth with the default microsoft drivers. If you install third party, the connection might be better but it just won't work. Other than that, it is simply a matter of plugging it in and letting the OS detect it and setting up the pairing with your device.
Bottom line - if you're only interested in simple pairing such as a phone or keyboard/mouse, this product should work fine. I can't speculate on mp3 players or other products that might need long range pairings.
Date : 2010-03-07 Summary : Simple device, just wasnt what i needed apparently Was looking for a bluetooth device to transfer files from my LG Vu to computer, but can only transfer one file at a time thru bluetooth apparently. not a fault of the dongle, but the phone itself.
Device itself was easy, plug in to USB port and windows recognizes it immediately, no additional settings or software needed. actually connecting the phone and dongle was a little more difficult but only just. follow your phone manufacturers manual for procedures.
Still this might allow me to use my bluetooth headset as a wireless microphone/headset for Ventrilo/Skype. worth a shot.
Date : 2010-03-06 Summary : Bluetooth usb adapter The adapter it self works great, but the software that came with it is out of date and you have to pay to get the up to date software. When I installed the trial of the up to date software some of my bluetooth devises stopped working but when I uninstalled it they started working again. As long as you don't care about the software you can use the adapter by itself just fine.
Date : 2010-03-05 Summary : Great Item! Use it with my Bluetooth Mouse I ordered it to use with my netbook and dell bluetooth mouse since it doesn't have presintalled bluetooth. Works great, just plug in and add the mouse and you'll be good. Plus shipping took like two days to Berkeley
Date : 2010-03-04 Summary : Not XP compatible, no CD provided! I bought this dongle to use in a Netbook running XP, but as I found out XP has no support for the A2DP profile (stereo headset). The description says it comes with a software CD but it does not. It made no sense to send it back because it's so cheap, so I just bought the IOgear dongle instead and it works perfectly (I downloaded the Bluetooth stack from the IOgear Website).
